A Career Built on Curiosity & Impact
My journey began in Pakistan, where I earned my Bachelor's in Computer Systems Engineering with distinction from QUEST, followed by a Master's in Mechatronics at Air University. Those formative years taught me one essential principle: real innovation lives at the intersection of disciplines.
That curiosity took me to South Korea, where my doctoral research at Jeju National University led to two international patents in electrostatic inkjet printing technology. Earning a PhD with distinction was rewarding, but the lesson was deeper: patient, precise engineering can quietly shape entire industries.
"True engineering isn't just about technology — it's about building the systems that allow human ingenuity to thrive."
Dr. Ahsan Rahman
From Korea, my path led across continents. Seven years at Qassim University in Saudi Arabia — leading the SABIC-funded EHD spray system project, heading the Mechatronics and Robotics group, and earning the Best Teacher Award. Then UAE, where I directed the Data Science and Mechatronics group at SZABIST Dubai. A research role at the University of Malta brought me into Horizon Europe projects on emergency-landing systems for commercial aircraft.
Today, as Head of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Prince Mugrin, I focus on building engineering programs that prepare students for the problems we haven't yet imagined. With ABET, NCAAA, and HEC accreditation experience, my work continues to bridge research and industry — because the future of intelligent engineering lives at the intersection of AI and human curiosity.
